I’m co-running a park program where we give out free lunches, create awesome art projects with kids, play games, and hang out with the neighborhood.  This afternoon was spent feeding folks who need it, making self-portraits, cheering on kids attempting (and conquering) a rock wall brought in by PP&R, loving on a four-year-old who wanted nothing more than to crawl into my lap and rub my ear lobes, taking calming breaths while watching a sixth grader show off her mad climbing skills in a really, really, really tall tree and staying late because they don’t have anywhere better to go and I don’t have anywhere I’d rather be.
