it’s never polite to throw back the tear gas.
just like it’s never polite to bring enough life rafts…
they crowd the balconies where the wealthy shine their jewels.
but what if love, what if real love is fucking rude?

Source: fuckyeahandreagibsonThis is a typography thing I made using words from Say Yes by Andrea Gibson. It’s not completely polished, but I think it adds to the charm. I plan on doing a lot of these typography things to improve, even though I’m not that good with it (I’ve never formally studied typography).
“One male poet approached me after a performance and said, “I don’t mean to be rude, but do you ever write about anything other than the struggles of women?” I replied, “I don’t mean to be rude, but take your finger off the trigger and I’ll stop.” After all, who among us ever wanted to speak about these things? What little girl dreams of growing up to write ‘rape poems?’ About violence? About the muffled voices of women worldwide?” -Andrea Gibson

Source: leopoldetbonaparte…i have no idea how this will end
maybe the equator will fall like a hula hoop on the earth’s lips
and our mouths will freeze mid-kiss on our eightieth anniversary
or maybe tomorrow, my absolute insanity, combined with the
absolute obstacle course of your communication skills
will leave us,
like a love letter in a landfill
but whenever, however, whenever this ends
i want you to know that right now
i love you forever
i love you for the hardest mile we walked together…
